Does it really need to be that cold for late bow season? I'm looking forward to it anyway. Break out the thermals! One more deer, then maybe I'll start to think about a little ice fishing.

Some of my most memorable days of deer hunting have been on the coldest days with snow on the ground. The deer have to keep feeding to keep the calories going to keep their heat up. I would see deer all day in the oak woods I was hunting looking for acorns. they would be blowing out steam as they moved around and they chilled out quickly after being killed! :)

Just about 24 hours to go before I can head out tomorrow. Wind forecast looks great for the stand I want to sit in. I'm hoping that big boy shows himself just one more time. In the past I've never had good luck in the late season.
