Since the meeting was down at McCormick's Creek I only stayed for about 2/3 of the meeting.

1. Dedication approved for 2 new Nature Preserves (76 acres and 120 acres). The tree huggers really outdo us when it comes to preserving land and of course each piece of ground declared a nature preserve will never be hunted again.
2. Approval is being sought to use money fromthe lifetime license fund towards the purchase opf Minnehaha. Expect this will be approved for an unknown amount ($1,000,000 or more).
3. Due to an oversight no provision was ever made for the youth consolidated license or the apprentice consolidated license to be made available to out-of-staters. Legislature must create new license category for IDNR/NRC to be able to issue. May go to legislative summer study.
4. Revisions to license fee schedule puts all the fees in one place avoiding confusion we have seen in recent years.
