Thanks for the all the advice in my previous boat.

I am looking at some recommendations on charging my trolling motor batteries during my upcoming salmon trip in Michigan.

We will be staying at campgrounds without electricity.

Has anyone ever used a power inverter to run a battery charger to charge their battery?

Or is there a simple way with my truck?

Thanks again.

I take it you have no generator? or a RV that is equipt with one.

I would suggest a 25 watt solar panel they claim they will top off your battery even while you are using it Harbor freight sells them for approx $40

No generator. I am not taking an RV. Tent is all I need.

Looks like solar is a good option for you then...

You can hook up your battery to your vehicle like a second battery and it will charge - but you got to run your vehicle- inverters lose a lot of power. Solar might be good if you have the time and the sun.
