Trolling Motor Recomendation...

I am in the market to get a trolling motor for my Boat.. However I am not sure what size to get.... I have an Aluminum 1648 Modified V Jon Boat with a 30 HP outboard..

what would be the recomended thrust of a trolling motor that would get the boat along with 2 to 3 guys in it.... I am not wanting to big cause i will not use this trolling motor very often.....

I had a 55# thrust Minn-Kota on my 14ft v-bottom and it ran all day long on a single 12v battery.

I have a 14ft converted row boatthat I fish with, I have had a 30# thrust motor guide, and now I have a 42# MotorGuide with the foot controls, both run all day on a 12v battery, and the 42# will nearly put my boat on plane.
