Just a little college football talk....dont have to get upset about it....

so do you think Notre Dame is "back" as a national contender...not necessarily a championship contender yet- but as a team folk need to look out for?

Gator...I was just screwing with ya. Hell I dont even care for Notre Dame. Purdue basketball, whole different gig.:biggrin:

No, I do not believe they are back to BCS status yet, but they have continued to improve every week. In the 2010 season they may make a run.

I agree with ya Gator. I did not have rose colored glasses on this season. Tiller's last year isnt going to be a good one. Hey, but there is always basketball! The Gator coach did an about face uh!

Yep! And the Gator Nation was all VERY HAPPY too! I hated to see him go, but welcomed him back the moment he got down to Orlando and decided to be back in Gainesville....he's a great coach and recruiter..............we should be pretty stout this year too......PLAYED A WHOLE LOT OF freshman last year after graduating and sending all 5 starters from the year before to the NBA. That was a dream team for sure.

I have always liked Donovan....seems like a class act. Except for the momentary brain fart with Orlando.:biggrin:

I think he realized how much he enjoys teaching the game of basketball and knew he'd have plenty of opportunity with his young team in G-ville.

Notre Dame is like being the tallest midget. They suck just not as much as some of the others out there. They are not back nor will they be until that
arrogant ass they have for a coach gets his wide load out of town. Then maybe I'll have a shot at getting a fresh donut once in a while around SB.

yeah all kidding aside...i hate it for the Dame faithful......especially y'all that live up there and really have followed them all your lives.....its a shame that a program like that has turned the way it has...i watched bits and pieces of the 2nd half saturday and seems to be the same Weiss that's always been...Not sure why he hasn't equated to a good college coach- but if i was a domer i'd be calling for his fat butt to go back to NE.

I'm not putting this one on Charlie. He's not making the calls this year. Honestly, I see a BUNCH of positive progress in the program. You can't totally rebuild a program over night.

The thing I don't understand is WHY didn't we at least TRY the 42 yard field goal in the late 3rd quarter? I understand that our kicker isn't doing real well but Good God, have some faith in the kid and give him the chance to prove himself.

Also, the end of the game.......not sure about the officiating of the last minute.
