Got back from my trip to Canada last night, and I tried to post a longwinded report, but apparently I had tried to upload too many images on the thread, and I couldn't post it. So, here's what I'm going to try...I'll post my reports on this thread one day at a time to see if that helps. It'll be a while before I get all eight days on there, so bear with me.

Mark pulling into the dock on the night we got to the lake (you have to boat your gear in as there is no road access).

We didn't fish this night, as it was the night before opening day of bass season in Ontario.

Day 2 started off pretty well. This is Joe (my boat partner) with a nice first photo opportunity:

Got up pretty early to get after 'em on this morning, and boy did it pay off! Here's my biggest fish of the trip. She's four pounds, seven ounces, and I got the fish on a topwater lure in twelve feet of water right next to a stickup. I had another fish on the same size as this one less than an hour later, but we missed the net job...:banghead3

What a fun day of fishing! Here's Joe with a nine-pound pike...it kicked his a$$, but he got it in the boat!

This pike hit a topwater lure, and was the most devastating topwater hit Joe has ever seen!

We struggled a little bit on day six....saw a tremendous amount of HUGE fish, but couldn't get them to hit, and if we did, couldn't keep them hooked up. We did get some nice fish though.

All in all, we had a pretty good trip. Out of the six of us that were there for eight nights, the largest smallmouth taken was five pounds, one ounce. There were several fish taken during the week that weighed over four pounds. I saw probably the biggest smallmouth of my life roll up on Joe's topwater lure, but he missed it...:banghead3 Hope you guys enjoyed the report!

Funny thing about the lake we fish...it's 8,800 acres, and there are no walleye in the lake. There are 'eyes in all the lakes around us, but not in the one we fish. Lake trout and northern pike are the other game fish attractions to this particular lake.

Great fish JL. Biggest smallie I have ever caught was a little less than 2 pounds out of a creek in Lafayette, couldn't imagine what a 4+ pounder would do to a pole.

Couldn't help but notice the Michigan hat as well.

What is wrong with Michigan Dean? Just be thankful Purdue doesn't have to play at the Big House this year, heck, even play Michigan at all this fall. Wasn't Purdue's last win at the Big House when Bob Griese was QB.

No, I am not from Michigan, although I wish was sometimes, at least for seven Saturday's from September through November when the Wolverines take the field at the Big House. I'm originally grew up 5-10 from Patoka Lake in a little town called Dubois. So yes I am waiting patiently for the Casino to open in French Lick for when I make the trip home to visit my parents.

Currently, I am trying to see if I would be able to get a graduate's degree online from Michigan starting this fall. Have to see how the chips fall.

Just remember Randy, if the traveling would have been called 8 seconds earlier, the timeout would have never happened. Oh well, I guess there is no chance of calling a timeout though if your team is sitting at home watching on that Monday night!

I still consider it a blessing that the timeout occurred though. The NCAA would have taken the Championship away from Michigan because we had to forfeit all the games that the four "paid" players played in.
