Sugar Creek- Lafayette Area

I will be in town the week after labor day. I am hoping to wade for some bass or bluegill around home (my folks live near Frankfort).

Is the Sugar Creek wadeable and a decent fishery during that time of year?

I would also like information about good access points, since this will be my first time in that area.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

weather makes the difference in all creeks. rain will make the creek unwadable.
but if you catch the creek when its down and clear you can murder lots of brown bass:biggrin:
