Pokagon event features ghost tales
From staff reports
LAKE JAMES — Pokagon State Park will host the 14th annual Ghost Tales and other Stories of the Season on Saturday.
Local, professional storytellers Lou Ann Homan and Steve Etheridge will perform in the park’s Civilian Conservation Corps shelter.
There will be two sessions, one at 6:30 p.m. for parents with younger children and one at 8:30 p.m. for older children and adults. A program fee for each session will be $1 per person.
Benches and picnic tables will be provided, but there will be some space for lawn chairs. Blankets may also ensure more comfortable seating in the unheated building, said event organizers.
Parking is available in the north beach parking lot. A flashlight is recommended for the walk back to the shelter.
The park entrance fee is $4 for in-state vehicles or $5 for out-of-state vehicles.
For further information, call the park at 833-2012.
