Hovey Lake is rockin the catfish!

Had a blast at Hovey. Here's how we do it. Most of Hovey Lake is only 7 feet deep. We still haven't found a deeper spot but there's so much water there, I don't know if we'll cover it all with a trolling motor. Anyway, I use my fish finder and just locate larger fish that seem to be holding 4 to 6 feet down. You have to keep your minnow off of the bottom. Use a bobber and send the minnow to battle 4 to 5 feet down. We've been doing great there all summer. We've caught most of our catfish...

Laporte area lakes

Anyone who bass fishes in the laporte area let me know where you have some good luck and when. I fish clear lake stone lake and a few random small farm ponds around the laporte area.
