Anyway, a guy from Traditional Gang put together a pictorial/tutorial on deer processing. I think he does a fantastic job of showing and expaining the work in an easy to understand way. His advice on pulling the tenderloins asap and grilling them up is spot on. Hope you enjoy.
Someone had the back of there truck broken into while out hunting, and the ******* took everything. If your hunting at Lasalle fish and wildlife area Don't bring anything you don't plan on taking out with you, or lock it up inside your vehicle. THERE'S ALWAYS GOT TO BE ONE IDIOT IN THE BUNCH!

November 16th found me 25 ft. up a tree in a high traffic deer area.
After running trail cameras all year long, there were two bucks I had my mind set on, and either one would make me happy.
As the afternoon wore on anticipation built. I was situated in a finger of woods surrounded by a sea of standing corn. The farmers were getting this last bit of corn in and I figured any deer bedded in the standing corn would eventually filter into the woods I was in.
About 3:45 p.m. a small buck appeared and I watched him for awhile. He eventually wandered off and all was quiet again, except for the sound of the combines. A little while later I glanced at my phone, 5:oo p.m.
Suddenly I saw movement to my northwest at about 100 yds. It was a "shooter" buck. He carefully picked his way along as I got into position for a shot. When he stopped behind a tree, I checked the yardage with my rangefinder, 57 yds. I centered my scope in his direction and when he cleared the trees I fired the TC Encore muzzlelaoder. The shot was good and he didnt go far. As I approached the downded buck I saw he had more points then what I thought he had.
I was pleasantly suprised as I had never seen or had trail cam pictures of this particular buck! It just goes to show that you never know what is going to appear when the rut is in. He is a typical 12 pointer and will score around 150 inches.
