Fish My first muskie at cave run ky

this is my first muskie at cave run, fished for two days and got this sunday afternoon. seen several next to the boat but only got one.

this fish was 44"

never caught a muskie how do they compare to a big king salmon for fight ?

I dont know, i have never caught a king salmon but this fish put up a great fight.

Congrats! Gotta love those silver southern muskies!

They fight bigtime! Difference is the tackle usually used...much heavier than fishing for kings.

Congratulations rbmhunting. The Cave is a good place to be. I gotta get back. I went out with Greg Thomas several years ago. He was just out of high school. The fish there make me shake.

jschowe---my take is that muskies are a violent fight, like heavyweights that often end in a decision in the early rounds. those kings go the distance and want more.
