I was the farmer who farms are land just took down his beans. Corn is still up in most places. People around here say this is the latest for farmers to take down crops for 19 years. Once they get cut the deer will move. Whoever said patience was a virtue must of had a lot of meat in the freezer....

Rest of the beans are being cut right now, they may finish tomorrow. Corn they only do a few rows at a time then they have to run it through the dryers. Time consuming and expensive. Unless the corn dries out it'll be a long harvest.

For all of us that still have corn up my father-in-law farms and he said that the big reason y alot of corn is still up is because alot of the corn has developed a fungis and the elevator will not take it so they are leaving it out longer and hoping it will dry out

The corn is not going to dry out. (anymore) It is what it is at this point. If you think running dryers is expensive, try letting the grainery dry it for you.
