Okay Guys and Girls, 2017 Whitetail Season is upon us. Every year Men Women and children across the county set out into the woods hoping for that shot at that trophy of a deer. No matter the sex or size of the antlers a trophy is a trophy. We also have 2017 Deer Contest Kicked off. So post your live posts from the stand to give us reading material while in the stand. Don't forget to think about our men and women in the armed services fighting for our right to hunt and always take a kid hunting and fishing. Post pics stories misses animals anything from the stand and Good Luck!

Morgan County, Does are moving both early and late out of the plots. Bucks are starting to cruise and have seen them checking does but the girls want No oart of it. We seem to have quite a few twins and triplets this year, a very good thing since EHD went through several years back. I have seen several young and 1 very mature bucks beginning to move during daylight.
Love this time of year. This is half of 1 of 5 plots out this year. Eating good in the neighborhood!!!!

Sweet looking set up. I am heading to The Family Farm just south of Bloomington Eastern Greene County going after whatever I can call up from the deep woods. I'm going to make a mock scrape and put out a camera over it. This upcoming weekend 2 years ago I saw the biggest buck of my life on that ridge never got a shot so we will see.

See thats the only problem here in Indiana. I can't shoot a buck that I don't see as a shooter becuase no matter what season it is, you shoot anything other than a button buck you can claim as a doe, your done for bucks I think they should allow 2 bucks. That way we can kill a cull or dink or double main beam without burning your buck tag for the year. Now your done for the year and can't hunt another buck thats just crazy and why I constantly eat tag sammiches.
