So there is a huge debate going on facebook right now about how Knock Off broadheads don't work. I am one against the price of Rage Broadheads 3 for 39.99 or 49.99. Well I have bought 24 for what I think $13.00 from Ebay. I have shot and killed 2 deer and dusted it off and put it right back in the quiver. I know it hurts retail sales well nobody except the folks who have them sent to them want to spend that. Also for all you wandering where to hunt. Brookville I'm telling you its magical and just tons of deer there. Get a topo Find you a corn or bean field and set up off the corner of one in the evening and morning I bet you see deer. The Rut is coming so you know its about to get wild in the hardwoods. Everyone talking about Gun Laws just go get a compound or crossbow or hell even the air bow and the debate is over.

I'm not going to get into all parts of this discussion, but I do know a bit about Chinese business practices and the culture/philosophy that drives it because I have a good friend/entrepreneur who does business over their frequently and sources some fairly expensive stuff from China. The Chinese business mindset is completely to make things absolutely as cheaply as possible, with the cheapest materials they can find, but to make it LOOK like the quality is just fine, and they can be quite skilled at this deception.

I heard they will build it however you want it.
Tolerances/materials of better quality= higher cost.
You tell them what you want (you having a contract).

Now a knock off might use lesser stuff.... but are they charging more for less, or are you getting what you paid for?

If the copy is illegal, then I doubt their choice of materials and execution of build.

Wow, some people really made it clear they don't understand the whole story about knock offs. I think it has been explained well enough so I won't go further into it but I will add that I have personally spoke with Mike of Magnus Broadheads. That conversation alone will have me buying his products as long as he continues to sell them. If something goes wrong with those knock offs, good luck getting a guy on the phone to discuss it. But hey, you would have saved a couple bucks to put towards your next EBAY purchase.

I'm for sure more willing to lose a $1.68 broadhead than a $16.88 broadhead thats more than a couple of bucks. Yes sometimes something may go wrong. A friend of mine shot at a doe at his spot one into the dirt and one bounce off rail road tracks. Destroyed both broadheads, he wasn't mad because he like me purchased from over seas and it only cost $1.68. Now imagine shooting the $40.00 or $50.00 broad heads wouldn't you be upset at that? I shot the real rage For years and the point or something would always bend, blades would deploy early or something. From my expirience I have had more trouble with the USA sold ones than the real thing. I don't know Magnus broad heads I'm a Rage guy and will probably never change them. To each their own.

You can’t call yourself a rage guy if all you use are knockoff versions of them. That’s exactly the problem just as with magnus. People use knock off junk and when they fail (don’t kid yourself they will fail) they bad mouth them in the name of their original design. And just like that the company’s rep is stained at no fault of their own. You’re not a rage guy. You’re a counterfeit guy.

leave the cash out of it and it boils down to performance. if they are prone to fail they will eventually. eventually you will hit a bone and it "could fail" were the better quality one mite not have?),to the point that it leads to a lost deer. the bow and arrow is a marginal weapon for ethical hunting in my opinion, just because all the variables in failures favor. way too many people making questionable shots out there every year dont help. even with the best shot things still can happen between u and the other side of that deer.

i get the buy American deal. i also get the poor deal. to that i say you do what you can.

if i was going to go cheap id surely go heavy to try and make up for it. with enough weight you could probably use a sharp stone and a stick to kill deer.

alrighty fellas I use a scale for the counterfit and the real deal. They weigh exactly the same. I will some how post pictures of the damage done by mine. I have hit bone. The last one I shot actually went slam throw both sides of the rib cage. Now did it hit shoulder? NO because I'm a better shot than that. I don't squeeze it as tight as I could. DDoss I am a RAGE guy. I like the design and slip cam broad head that they produce it may be a knockoff sure but everything that I can see from the weight down to the damage and the amazing red carpet treatment of the blood trails is exactly like the real deal so I am shooting Rage. I tell people I shoot rage and probably have got some sold for the real deal. I don't go around saying I use knock offs only when a discussion about how piss poor they are pops up because that's simply not true at all. Everyone thinks they will fail. I will attempt to shoot every animal with the same one this season and I'll show yall. Watch.

And one other thing, If a company manufactures them knowing what real and fake is they are at no fault to replace a counterfit item. Even if someone threatens to go online and say something. I would easily get on there and prove that fake is fake. No way are we liable to replace a fake produce no different than anything else in the country that is knock off. I would straight up tell that person hey look you didn't buy my product you can attempt to smear my name all you want but if you bought Magnus you would get this in this package with this receipt and a lifetime replacement gurantee. I would not replace a counterfit item in any way. I would never go to Rage and be like look this broad head bent broke or whatever. I know what I'm buying but all this they will fail is straight bullshit. I have shot the real deal and they failed didn't open up I have not had 1 Knock off fail at all.
