After 7 days of hunting my butt off I finally was able to put an arrow through a nice buck. Shot him at 07:58. He was the second buck of the morning to come in to the horns. He came in on a string during my second session as soon as I smacked them together. Shot him with a Prototype broad head from steel force that they are calling the Big Phat Head. Double lung shot, great blood trail, 30 yard recovery.
Actually that's his g2. It's a touch over 12" It has a kicker off the back of it which looks like the 2 At that angle. His G3 has about 8-9 inches broken off on that side
Thanks y'all. I really don't have a care either way about what weapons are allowed. It doesn't change the way I or my family hunts. This was the first time I've ever bow hunted during gun season. I don't know why but I just wasn't ready to give up with the bow this year.
I’m active duty military coming to Indiana around Christmas time. Looking for a place to hunt on public land. Any advise will be appreciated. Looking around Wabash area. Bow hunting.
Good deer, man if that 3 wasn't busted! Either way he is a dandy. Good luck this year.
