Ball State American Fisheries Society Student Chapter

Discussion in 'Sound Off' started by need2fish, Jan 29, 2007.

  1. Hey all sportsmen (and women) out there-

I know people are bombarded with requests for a variety of groups and interests, but I was hoping the members of Indiana Sportsman could assist the Ball State Chapter of the American fisheries Society (BSU AFS).

AFS is the oldest and largest professional society representing fisheries scientists throughout the world. AFS promotes scientific research and management of aquatic resources for the optimum use and enjoyment for the general public.

In conjunction with Ohio and Michigan AFS, we will be attending a Tri-State AFS meeting in February 2007 at Pokagon State Park in Angola, Indiana. Our student chapter, in association with the Lake Superior State AFS student chapter will hosting a joint student raffle at this meeting.

Funds derived from this raffle are split between both student organizations for attendance to meetings (such as this one), and community involvement We rely on this raffle to generate funding for the following year. Any donation (large or small) is welcomed!!! In return, you will be mentioned at our event, as well as receive a letter of gratitude that will acknowledge your donation that may be used for tax write-off.

For verification, our student website on the BSU server is http://bsuafs.iweb.bsu.edu/

Thanks in advance for your support of the American Fisheries Society.
