Bald eagles hanging out in Blackford County
Ric Routledge, Muncie Star Press
MONTPELIER - A pair of bald eagles have apparently taken up house-keeping along the Jay-Blackford county line. "I'm glad to see them," said John Ramseyer, who has lived in the vicinity for about 20 years. "Once you see them, you'll be glad, too." Ramseyer describes the birds this way: "White head, white tail, and big, very big." He first noticed the birds about a month ago. "It was exciting then, but now it's kind of routine." He has seen the pair on many occasions, and a third one "once in a while. It is probably an immature one."
