Bow Buck During Firearms

Discussion in 'Indiana Bowhunting' started by Slugger, Nov 16, 2016.

  1. After 7 days of hunting my butt off I finally was able to put an arrow through a nice buck. Shot him at 07:58. He was the second buck of the morning to come in to the horns. He came in on a string during my second session as soon as I smacked them together. Shot him with a Prototype broad head from steel force that they are calling the Big Phat Head. Double lung shot, great blood trail, 30 yard recovery.

  2. Congrats! Is that G3 on the deer's left really as long as it looks in the pic? Cool rack on that buck and nice shot.

  3. Actually that's his g2. It's a touch over 12" It has a kicker off the back of it which looks like the 2 At that angle. His G3 has about 8-9 inches broken off on that side

  7. Thanks y'all. I really don't have a care either way about what weapons are allowed. It doesn't change the way I or my family hunts. This was the first time I've ever bow hunted during gun season. I don't know why but I just wasn't ready to give up with the bow this year.

  8. What is the cut diameter of that new head? Looks impressive.
  9. It's 1.5" I shot them out to 55 yards and they flew better than I can shoot. Blood trail that rivaled a rage. With no worries of hitting the shoulder.
