Fished the afternoon at Brookville. Put in near the dam. Immediately got caught in a fierce lightening storm. Sat that out and went back to fishing. We were looking for white bass fresh off the nesting areas upriver. Caught a few cats, a decent walleye, and near the dam we found what we were looking for. The sandies were responding to white curly tails and jigheads. Not sure how many we caught, probably eight or maybe nine, but they were a bit skinny after all their spawning activities, so we released the lot. Water was clear to about 4 feet. Surface was clear of the usual floating stuff on Brookville. Water level is up to summer pool, but the edges are still somewhat stained and the carp aren't helping things in the shallows. Didn't get any bites from the stripers yet.
