Got this idea from another site. Any of us who have long haired dogs know the problems with burrs. There is a product (actually for horses) called Laser Sheen. Apparently, you spray it on the parts that pick up the most burrs....it drys fast and is supposed to make the burrs come out easier.

I'm picking some up at Tractor Supply. Should cut down on the burr mess

Thank you so much for passing that on. I've been clipping the feathering around his legs and feet, and there's less time required de-burring, but wow, anything to cut that down would be great. The pup is actually beginning to enjoy the grooming time after our sessions out. Some that get on his ears I've just had to cut out, now the poor dog looks a little goofy.

The guy I got the info from has a German Wirehaired Pointer, so he uses some stuff called Cowboy Magic around the face and places he can't spray. I suppose it's at tractor supply also.
