I went out the other day for the first time hoping to hook into some bass with a jig&pig. I didn't have any luck, so I just started going through the tackle box. Nothing hit, so I decided to throw on a beatle spin in hopes of some crappie. To my surprise, I start catching some really nice bass, not ten feet off the bank! There was a couple times I was getting ready to pull the bait out of the water when I would have a hit right in front of me. Now I've always been told cold weather equals slow moving baits. Obviously I was wrong. Anybody else have suggestions or hints for me for this time of year. Please and thank you!!!
