dnr rifle changes

Discussion in 'Indiana Whitetail Hunting' started by buckmaster, Jan 23, 2007.

  1. has anybody heard from the dnr about next season? this is really starting to piss me off. everyone is saying somethin diffrent.
  2. No changes until after the Meeting in Feb.

I think the Season(s) have been set, just not the Equipment Rules.

  3. Just got a reply today

This information has been posted here before, but since I just got this today I will post it here for you.

Other cartridges that fit these parameters are the 45 colt, 454 casull, 475 linebaugh, 480 ruger, 500 linebaugh & 500 s&w.
The 460 s&w will not qualify, as the case exceeds the allowable length.
(Of course, that may lead to a new caliber called the 452 Indiana Special , which would be a 460 case trimmed to 1.625 in order to meet the case length requirement)
To think at last that some common sense may come into play concerning what is, and what is NOT, legal to hunt deer with.

btw, here is a link to an earlier posting concerning this issue, which has quite a few posts, if you interested.
