What are your favorite goose loads? I sold my gun that shot 3.5 inchers, so I usually go with 3 inch BB or BBB steel. Usually can't find T's, but if you know of anyplace around that has em, fill me in.
bb or bbb I hate t's, also if using a 3'' gun you might want to consider hevi shot, its a pine driver. you can downsize your shot a little with the hevi shot.
I had a box of Buffered Long Range Magnum Bismuth 3-1/2" 1-7/8 oz #2s that my brother gave me for Christmas 5 years ago. I never used them. Well, went goose hunting last weekend and busted two geese w/two shots at about 40 yd's! GYD!
Or it could have been that excellent hunter & BGH! :yeahthat:
KENT IMPACT Tungsten Matrix 3" #1's KILLS GEESE DEAD. $20 a box for 10 shells. But these will knockem down from way up. I always have a load or 2 in my ammo belt to get any cripples that try to get away. But when you have'em feet down and in your face, just about any duck load will work. Last weekend in the north zone for ducks and the locals are stacked up in the river here.
Later in the season when its cold, you need more knockdown power. The birds dont decoy as good and the feathers are thicker. I use kent fasteel bbb for the first two shots backed with a T for the last shot.
