:fish: Not sure we are going to have any fishable Ice or not this year in West Central Indiana.I usually like about 4 inches before venturing out on it and with the weather we are having,it just may not happen. How about you Northern Indiana guys,How much Ice do you have and hows the Fishing?

I don't know if they are fishing anywhere. If there was ice its now covered with snow thal will insulate it from freezing. The next week on weather.com doesn't look so great either. Well it won't be that long till the suckers run:bonk: You might go to a spillway. Or fish a deep reservoir channel with shad guts for a big catfish this time of year.

I can remember years in this area when we didn't have safe Ice all winter.Your right about the weather too,we may not get the opportunity. When I was a kid I use to catch Suckers in the creek behind my house here but it seems like the run isn't very good anymore. It was a lot of fun and though they are a little bony,I always like the taste of them.I am blessed with Strip Pits in this area and if the Ice doesn't come on I guess I will just have to fish the open water for Bass.I love doing that also. Thanks for the info and good luck with your fishing.
