Hybrid Striped Bass

Discussion in 'Central Indiana Fishing Reports' started by Questions, May 4, 2007.

  1. Hello All!

I am doing a paper on the Hybrid Striped Bass. I love bass fishing and I think it is interesting how we manipluate the environment to take care of problems rather than kill or poison.

I could use help in finding sources that historically note the beginning of the process. I assume they were developed to level bait fish population.

I live near Eagle Creek and would love to find articles centered around the thoughts of those when they began using them too.

    Thank you!
  2. I heard the DNR stocked stripers in some lake too. They are pure breed so they can spawn and the get even bigger than the wipers that they stock. Check with the DNR they should have reports that were created prior to stocking and follow up reports as the stockings progressed to see if the creel numbers have changed.
