My little ones...now 8 and 9...had ecoli when they were 2 and 3. Bad deal... 2 weeks at Riley Childrens Hospital in Indy. Almost lost my little girl. They think they picked it up at the petting zoo. We buy hand sanitizer by the gallon!
I guess I didn't learn my lesson...I still love to eat raw hamgurger with a little salt and pepper. Picked the habit up from my dad when I was a kid.

20 years ago when I was the Maitre d' at the Skyline Club in Indy, we used to sell steak tartar...caper, spices, egg...etc mixed with raw ground filet and sell it as an appetizer. Great stuff!!! Now you probably can't find it anywhere ...everyone is scared. I like my steak and lamb and burgers all cooked the same way...in the immortal words of Woody Harrelson "knock it's horns off, wipe it's a$$ and throw it on the plate".
By the way I absolutely love spinach!
