    The Department of Natural Resources' Go FishIN education program is offering
    a free workshop on July 16 at Scott Township Park north of Evansville. The
    workshop runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Go FishIN workshops are for Hoosiers interested in using sport fishing to
    teach youngsters about resource conservation.

    "Go FishIN teaches beginner anglers all they need to know to take kids
    fishing," said Go FishIN coordinator Pat Cooper. "And expert anglers will
    learn activities that teach kids aquatic ecology, fish biology, and outdoor

    The program offers textbooks, loaner educational equipment and fishing
    equipment for volunteers to use in their community. Go FishIN fits easily
    into elementary, middle and high school classes, including biology,
    chemistry, math, language arts and social studies.

    Workshops are offered at various Indiana locations throughout the year.
    Class sizes are limited and reservations are required.
