dang i feel for you that have to buy tags! 39 bucks for deer tag! thats getting up there in my book. im sure it will limit some people from extra deer or even going in this economy! thats a shame they feel the need to fleece everyone instead of cutting back on spending.

Your crying about 39$ ? Im out of state and I have to pay 550 for the three deer combo license. Im in Illinois and its 40 for two deer antlerless, antlered or 2 antlerless with archery. You have to buy a separate shotgun license but its a b.s lottery that is literally only 4 days broken into two weekends its a joke.

You price out how much free range meat costs at over 10 dollars a pound and 39 to pay for conservation efforts is a good thing and very considerate.

lol im crying for others(like my kid) i dont need to buy licenses anymore. last deer tag i bought i believe was $16 something. that was long ago.

not everyone has the cash to spend hunting all over the country. i for one could spend 500 bucks on an out of state hunt but i just wouldnt. im a cheapskate but there are plenty like me. :) i have a friend that spends upwards of 5 grand to elk hunt every year. he is single and makes 100,000 a year so its nothing to him. i believe i gave $708 for my lifetime license long ago. i had to talk myself into spending that much back then! lol im glad i did now! it paid for itself many years ago and now it makes me money. turkey trout deer tags add up to a hundo or more a year with fees these days.

Yea, my ex decided it was too much money to spend for the lifetime license back then, what a couple of mistakes, her and not buying the license.

license sales numbers will be interesting. along with the hunting without license tickets. lol i have talked to three people, in my travels, that declined to buy this year.

DNR cutting their throat's again, like with the lifetime, big fee increases did? (the rest of this comment was redacted in leu of government agencies being weaponized) 😁

all good for those that have the extra money to spend. those people would probably pay 100. it hurts the poor people that really need the meat! think how much that saves them on meat for the family. i know 2 families, with several kids each, that dont buy beef at all! they just use deer all year. i havent talked to them yet. i bet they didnt buy tags for every kid this season though.

like i said license numbers will be interesting. there are people that just dont have the extra money. id be one of them if this was 20yr ago. even now id probably just buy 1 tag, if i didnt have the lifetime.
