Loomis Lake, Valpo 4/22/06

  1. Three of us fished from the south floating pier this morning (the one with railings). The little bluegill picked our pockets clean! As many small red worms as we were willing to hang on a hook and drop in the water, they were willing to neatly remove from the hook and devour! Nibbles all morning long, but only one bite strong enough to set a hook. A perfect eating sized gill who had fate on his side because we couldn't find another 20 or 25 of his like-sized buddies to invite to lunch. Back he went at day's end.

The is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL park though.

  2. Good post. That is a nice park, and it's got that frisbee golf thing too.
