Hello Hoosiers! My name is Tim Stein, a native Hoosier transplanted to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2000. A group of us guys from the sister site Michigan-Sportsman.com are planning an outing on April 2 to fish Lake Michigan, launching from the Portage, IN City Launch. We will be fishing from daybreak until 12pm and having an informal lunch afterwards in the parking area. Outings are a great way to meet other members and have some fun. The thread is located here M-S outing.

If you are interested or have any questions feel free to post them here or there and we will be happy to answer them. We will have boats in need of crews, and welcome anyone with a boat and crew, or boat in need of crew to join us. I am known as STEINFISHKSI on the other site.

We have over 9 boats coming down. Hope more can join us. The fish are in and it is a great chance to meet some fellow anglers! Only 2 weeks to go.

Id really like to come, depends on how the wife is, were due for our first child the end of April. Im sure my father would love this too if he doesnt have to work. Im boatless so would need a ride. I fished Mich City today from shore by the coast guard, the bite really slowed, they had been red hot all week. I seen only 2 caught and there must have been 100 guys there.
