the buddy i had with me was keeping them all that day. thats why there are 15-16" crappie on my cutting board. i generally release any over 13". this mornings pig was just over 16" had three that were over 15 and kept 15 eater size for lunch.(pic still on my phone)
pigs are feeding lately
been jiggin up some hog crappie. several in the 15-16" class with limits of eater 12-13s. lead head and plastic jigged in the deep cover. been cruising till i mark fish suspended then dropping in on them.

got taken for a ride this morning. something grabbed my jig and man handled me bad. ran me around the boat did several power runs. had me in the cover twice. i was just hoping to lay eyes on it after a couple min. lol

been getting a few last couple days. no trophies yet but plenty action. the tails of the male crappie are really beat up this year. wonder if its from the cold fronts driving them back off beds this spring. a 13 was the big one of the day for crappiie. big bass was 4 pounder on that purple yum craw. the fish were all up in 2-4fow around cover.

got 3 nice crappie today. the rest were 6-12inchers. they still up in 4-6fow. they chewed on BG baby shad plastics with yum shad spray on it. funny but today it seemed the white crappie were a bit deeper in the same general area. the ones from 8fow were all white females and small. most all the shallow crappie were black males. a few rockos and largemouth in the catch also. fished from 830-noon and it got hot and i ran in.
