Can I hunt with a 30-06 on public land?
No. The Rifle Rules as I read them are only allowed for Private Property. Shotguns Muzzle Loaders and Pistol Cartridge Rifles are allowed on Indiana Public Property.
Private property only!!!
and as of now, only archery, muzzleloader, shotgun, and pistol. no rifles of any caliber. lovely legislation.
If you are running a .30-06 in a handgun (like a TC Encore) you can use it on public land.
.30 cal rifles are private land only.
