River fishing...

Discussion in 'Northwest Indiana Fishing Reports' started by Super_Mag, Mar 14, 2007.

  1. Since the ice is shot around me, and I don't have the funds to head north, I tried the next best thing I could think of. Me and two friends hit the Kankakee today for toothy's. Yesterday, my bud managed a 29inch northern, but today they all got skunked. I managed one walleye, he was only 12inches, so back he went. Jig and crappie minnow, 12ft of water, fishing next to a spillway. Anybody else fishing the rivers? Here is the pics...

  2. Aww, look at the cute little baby walleye! Just kidding, Super, nice job. That is one more walleye than I have ever caught (not for lack of effort).

  3. Hey any fishing is better than staying home

  4. I may have to try some of that myself this weekend.

  5. MMMM....walleyes! Can't wait to get after those boogers! Go away, ice!!!

  6. Brookville Lake is ~70 miles from Columbus, and is probably the top walleye lake in the state.

  7. Flintlocker- I was fishing in Starke Co. today.

  8. Sweet! I've always fished it near Rose Lawn.

    About time for a trip.
