What fish is this?

Discussion in 'Southeast Indiana Fishing Reports' started by panfish hunter, May 28, 2017.

  1. It looks like a redear and there are a lot of redear in the lake where I caught this, except there is no red area along the "ear". The coloring is unusual but what really surprised me is this fish hit a buzz bait. Thanks in advance.

  3. Looks like a warmouth to me. My geandpa called them pus guts haha.

Warmouth are pretty aggressive fish and I've caught them on every lure I've used for largemouth.

  7. I knew that background looked familiar. I grew up camping at Starve Hollow. I love that place.

It is almost as big as the buzz bait.

    Just a bluegill on steroids.
